Financial Analyst

Robert Half is looking to hire a hybrid Financial Analyst to work with one of our well known clients in Mechanic Falls, Maine. This is a 6 month contract that is looking for a candidate to start immediately.

Key Functions – Financial Analyst

• Develop, maintain, and update financial models to support forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning

• Analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results, including variance analysis against budget and prior periods

• Prepare management reporting packages with clear insights, trends, and key performance indicators (KPIs)

• Support the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes

• Conduct ad hoc financial analysis to support business decisions and operational initiatives

• Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to improve financial performance

• Assist with month-end close activities, including journal entries and accruals as needed

• Improve reporting tools, dashboards, and processes for greater efficiency and accuracy

• Ensure data integrity across financial systems and reporting platforms

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field

• 2–5+ years of experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, or similar role

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, modeling)

• Experience with financial systems (e.g., ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Workday Financials)

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills

• Ability to interpret complex data and translate it into clear business insights

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Experience with reporting and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) a plus
