Hybrid Litigation / Transactional Legal Assistant
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate attorney calendars, deadlines, and scheduling needs to keep active matters organized and on track.
• Prepare, revise, and finalize legal documents for litigation, healthcare, and transactional matters with a high level of accuracy.
• Handle electronic filing submissions with courts and ensure all filing requirements, deadlines, and procedural rules are met.
• Maintain case and matter files, monitor key dates, and support attorneys with timely follow-up on assignments and deliverables.
• Format lengthy and complex documents using advanced word processing tools, including document styles and structured formatting features.
• Assist with drafting correspondence, assembling exhibits, and preparing materials for hearings, transactions, and other legal proceedings.
• Provide administrative and practice support to a combination of litigators and attorneys handling non-litigation work.
• Adapt to legal technology and office software as needed to support document management and workflow efficiency.
Qualifications:
• At least 5 years of experience in a legal assistant role supporting attorneys in a law firm or similar legal setting.• Demonstrated background in civil litigation support, including court filings and deadline management.
• Hands-on experience with electronic filing systems and court submission procedures.
• Strong calendar management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines and assignments.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, especially in formatting long and complex documents.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate work in a deadline-driven environment.
• Comfort learning and using legal technology, document tools, and office software.
• Ability to support both litigation and transactional or healthcare-related legal practices effectively.
Compensation
