Director of Sales
We are looking for an experienced Director of Sales to lead group sales strategy for a high-volume hospitality property in Summerlin. This role is responsible for driving revenue across group business segments, strengthening client partnerships, and guiding a sales team to deliver strong commercial results. The ideal candidate brings a strategic mindset, strong leadership capabilities, and a proven ability to grow group demand while maintaining exceptional service standards.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the property’s group sales function, overseeing both inbound opportunities and proactive business development efforts to expand revenue.
• Direct and coach on-site sales team members, setting clear expectations and supporting performance through daily leadership and development.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with corporate, association, and event clients to encourage repeat business and increased account value.
• Drive achievement of group revenue targets by identifying upsell opportunities across guest rooms, catering, and event-related services.
• Monitor sales pipelines, pace, and booking activity to produce accurate forecasts and support sound business decisions.
• Ensure the sales process reflects brand standards and service expectations at every stage of the customer journey.
• Partner with internal departments to align event sales strategies with operational execution and guest satisfaction goals.
• Promote a collaborative team culture that prioritizes responsiveness, professionalism, and an exceptional guest experience.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, safety standards, and departmental procedures in all sales activities.
Qualifications:
• Proven success leading group sales within a hotel, resort, or large-scale hospitality environment.
• Strong background in outbound sales, consultative selling, and managing complex business-to-business sales cycles.
• Experience overseeing revenue generation tied to group rooms, catering, and event-driven business.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing sales professionals.
• Solid understanding of hotel operations, hospitality management principles, and customer service excellence.
• Skilled in forecasting, pipeline management, and using data to guide sales strategy and decision-making.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
This position is a base salary + quarterly bonus compensation role and is responsible for the Mid-West and Southeast territories for the organization.
Compensation
