Accounts Receivable Specialist

We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to support a manufacturing operation in Rochester, New York through a Contract assignment. This position focuses on maintaining accurate receivables, applying incoming payments, and driving timely collection efforts while supporting billing and month-end close activities. The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple financial tasks in a deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities:
• Manage the full accounts receivable cycle, including billing, payment posting, and account reconciliation for customer balances.
• Apply cash receipts accurately and investigate discrepancies to ensure transactions are recorded correctly.
• Conduct commercial collections outreach to follow up on outstanding invoices and encourage timely payment.
• Prepare and distribute customer statements on a regular basis to support account transparency and payment follow-up.
• Generate invoices and verify billing accuracy in alignment with customer terms and internal records.
• Assist with costing-related activities that support accurate financial reporting and customer billing.
• Contribute to month-end close for the Rochester Tailored Clothing division by reviewing receivable activity and resolving open items.

Qualifications:

• Experience working in accounts receivable within a detail-oriented business environment.
• Hands-on knowledge of cash application processes and daily cash activity tracking.
• Background in commercial collections with the ability to communicate effectively regarding past-due balances.
• Familiarity with billing operations, invoicing procedures, and account statement distribution.
• Strong accuracy and organizational skills with the ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities.
• Proficiency in reviewing financial details, identifying discrepancies, and resolving payment-related issues.

Compensation

$19.79-$22.91 Hourly
