Assistant Property Manager

Stockton, CA 95219, US Temporary
Compensation: $25 to $28 Hourly

We are looking for an Assistant Property Manager to support the day-to-day performance of residential and commercial properties in Stockton, California. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing tenant service, operational coordination, and financial oversight in a fast-paced real estate environment. The person in this role will help protect property value, keep building operations running efficiently, and contribute to a positive experience for tenants and stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
• Direct daily property activities across assigned residential and commercial sites, ensuring operations, administration, and upkeep are completed effectively.
• Assist with budget planning, expense tracking, rent processing, and financial forecasting to help maintain strong property performance.
• Address tenant concerns promptly, coordinate resolutions, and monitor vacant spaces to support occupancy readiness and resident satisfaction.
• Oversee maintenance requests and vendor work, confirming repairs and building services are completed to expected standards.
• Support leasing efforts by preparing documentation, coordinating lease administration, and assisting with discussions on rental terms.
• Help enforce occupancy guidelines, site policies, and applicable procedures to maintain well-managed properties.
• Monitor safety and security measures, work with external service providers when needed, and respond appropriately to urgent property issues.
• Contribute to financial reporting, account review, and month-end reconciliation activities to support accurate records and decision-making.

Qualifications:

• 0-2 years of experience in property management, real estate operations, or a related administrative role.

• Working knowledge of budgeting, expense control, rent collection, and basic financial reporting.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail and sound organizational skills.

• Experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

• Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with tenants, vendors, and internal teams.

• Familiarity with lease administration, vendor coordination, and maintenance follow-up is preferred.

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, real estate, or a related field is preferred.

• Exposure to property management software and accounting systems is a plus.
