Director of Data Science
Responsibilities:
• Shape and execute a company-wide data strategy that aligns data capabilities with business priorities and measurable outcomes.
• Direct governance programs that strengthen data ownership, stewardship, quality standards, and policy adherence across functions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to expand the use of trusted data in planning, analysis, and decision-making.
• Establish and refine controls, workflows, and standards that improve data accuracy, consistency, security, and regulatory compliance.
• Lead data-focused initiatives from planning through delivery, ensuring priorities, timelines, and results remain on track.
• Mentor and develop data professionals while promoting a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
• Track key performance indicators for data health and operational effectiveness, then recommend improvements based on findings.
• Support enterprise reporting, business intelligence, and broader data modernization efforts, including large-scale transformation initiatives when needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in a relevant discipline.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in data management, data governance, analytics, or information management functions.
- Demonstrated experience developing data governance frameworks and supporting enterprise data management initiatives.
- Strong command of core data management concepts, business processes, and enterprise data practices.
- Proven success leading cross-functional programs and building alignment among technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Experience managing teams and delivering strategic initiatives in complex environments.
- Certifications in data management, governance, or analytics are a plus.
Compensation
