Customer Service Representative

We are looking for a Customer Service Representative to support a non-profit organization through a Contract assignment. In this role, you will connect with program participants by phone, gather current employment updates, and ensure each interaction is recorded with care and accuracy. This opportunity is well suited for someone who communicates clearly, stays organized in a fast-paced call environment, and brings a detail-oriented, compassionate approach to every conversation.

Responsibilities:
• Place outbound calls to program participants to obtain timely follow-up information regarding their current status.
• Ask structured questions to confirm whether individuals are working or currently seeking employment.
• Capture employment details for participants who have found jobs, including employer information and other relevant updates.
• Encourage participants who are not currently employed to visit the Workforce Center on Tuesdays to learn about available services and support options.
• Record complete and accurate notes from each conversation in the appropriate tracking system.
• Manage a steady volume of participant outreach while maintaining courtesy during every call.
• Ensure participant information is updated consistently so records remain reliable and current.

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of experience in customer service, call center support, or a related phone-based role.
• Ability to handle a high number of outbound calls efficiently and effectively.
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to build rapport and ask clear follow-up questions.
• Accurate documentation skills and strong attention to detail when entering participant information.
• Experience supporting customers or clients through both inbound and outbound call activity.
• Detail-oriented demeanor with the ability to show empathy and respect in participant interactions.
• Comfortable working in a structured environment focused on follow-up, recordkeeping, and service support.

Compensation

$17.10-$19.80 Hourly
