IT Compliance Auditor
Responsibilities:
• Partner with external auditors and internal stakeholders to coordinate IT general controls testing, walkthroughs, and supporting evidence requests.
• Use file integrity monitoring tools to review configuration changes and system activity, helping verify that critical controls are operating as intended.
• Develop and run automated scripts in tools such as PowerShell and Python to collect audit evidence and reduce reliance on manual review steps.
• Work with IT and engineering teams to address control deficiencies, implement corrective measures, and reduce the likelihood of repeat findings.
• Examine log data, event records, and access information to confirm control effectiveness and identify unusual or high-risk activity.
• Identify opportunities to replace manual compliance tasks with more efficient and auditable technical processes.
• Create and maintain clear documentation for audit procedures, scripts, test results, and evidence handling practices.
• Support ongoing audit preparedness by organizing evidence, validating audit trails, and using available tools to improve response efficiency.
• Monitor evolving compliance expectations and help align technical controls with applicable regulatory and security standards.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related discipline.• At least 2 years of experience in IT audit, IT compliance, IT general controls testing, or a related IT engineering environment.
• Working knowledge of SOX, ISO 27001, NIST, or similar governance and control frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with PowerShell and Python for automation, reporting, or analysis tasks.
• Familiarity with file integrity monitoring solutions, including tools such as Tripwire Enterprise, is preferred.
• Ability to analyze system logs, access records, and other technical data sources to support audit conclusions.
• Strong written documentation, organization, and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple compliance activities.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with both technical teams and non-technical business partners.
Compensation
