Full Charge Bookkeeper

We are looking for an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to support day-to-day accounting operations for a long-term contract opportunity in Clifton, New Jersey. This role is ideal for someone who can manage core bookkeeping functions independently, maintain accurate financial records, and keep payables, receivables, and reconciliations on track. The right candidate will bring strong QuickBooks expertise and a detail-focused approach to ensuring organized, reliable financial reporting.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee the complete bookkeeping cycle, ensuring financial transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
• Manage accounts payable activities, including reviewing invoices, scheduling payments, and maintaining organized vendor records.
• Handle accounts receivable processes by issuing invoices, monitoring outstanding balances, and following up on collections as needed.
• Perform regular bank and account reconciliations to verify balances and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Maintain up-to-date records in QuickBooks and support the accuracy of general ledger activity.
• Prepare financial documentation and internal reports to provide clear visibility into day-to-day accounting performance.
• Monitor cash flow activity and help ensure accounting records remain consistent with supporting documentation.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience in full charge bookkeeping with the ability to manage accounting functions independently.
• Hands-on proficiency with QuickBooks in a bookkeeping or accounting environment.
• Strong working knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Experience completing bank reconciliations accurately and resolving variances efficiently.
• High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail when handling financial data.
• Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines in a contract-based role.

Compensation

$28.50-$33.00 Hourly
