HR Generalist
Responsibilities:
• Provide onsite HR support for a workforce of approximately 125 to 150 employees, addressing day-to-day needs across multiple human resources functions.
• Act as a primary point of contact for employees and supervisors by answering questions related to workplace policies, procedures, and HR programs.
• Partner with managers on employee relations matters, including attendance concerns, workplace issues, corrective action documentation, and policy guidance.
• Oversee employee lifecycle administration by maintaining personnel records, coordinating separations, and supporting offboarding activities.
• Review payroll-related data for each biweekly cycle, process employee status and pay changes, and help resolve timekeeping or compensation discrepancies.
• Administer benefit programs and enrollment activities, including new employee setup, life event updates, open enrollment support, and communication with external vendors and administrators.
• Track leave cases and documentation while coordinating with employees, managers, and third-party partners regarding available leave and accommodation programs.
• Support union and labor-related administration by maintaining required records and assisting with processes tied to the collective bargaining environment, including job bid documentation.
• Coordinate recruitment activities such as job posting management, interview scheduling, candidate communication, offer preparation, pre-employment screening, and onboarding logistics.
• Contribute to employee engagement efforts through internal communications, recognition activities, and programs that strengthen workplace culture.
Qualifications:
• Experience supporting core HR functions such as employee relations, benefits administration, onboarding, payroll coordination, and personnel records management.• Working knowledge of HRIS platforms and the ability to maintain accurate employee data and documentation.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in an onsite manufacturing environment while delivering timely and attentive support.
• Familiarity with leave administration, including documentation tracking and coordination with employees, managers, and external administrators.
• Understanding of recruiting processes, including requisitions, interview coordination, pre-employment screening, and new employee onboarding.
• Knowledge of wage and hour practices, attendance tracking, and payroll accuracy standards.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to work effectively with employees, leadership, staffing partners, and benefit vendors.
