RSC Asset Protection Manager
Responsibilities:
• Lead and support the asset protection function by setting priorities, coaching team members, and promoting accountability across safety and security programs.
• Direct sitewide safety and loss prevention initiatives designed to reduce risk, improve compliance, and maintain a safe working environment for employees and visitors.
• Monitor security activity, assess potential threats or vulnerabilities, and assist with investigations involving theft, workplace incidents, fraud, or other protection-related concerns.
• Oversee the performance and upkeep of security and life-safety systems such as surveillance equipment, access controls, alarm systems, fire protection infrastructure, backup power, and related hardware.
• Partner with facilities and operations leaders to coordinate preventive maintenance, resolve equipment issues, and plan for replacement of aging security or safety systems.
• Manage hazardous materials processes, including identification, storage, reporting, and disposal, while maintaining compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
• Organize and deliver required compliance activities such as audits, inspections, safety training, emergency drills, incident reviews, and recordkeeping for regulatory programs.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and, when needed, external emergency responders or law enforcement to address incidents and strengthen site readiness.
• Track performance indicators, prepare reports, and recommend operational improvements that enhance safety outcomes, security effectiveness, and overall program efficiency.
Qualifications:
• Experience leading safety, security, asset protection, or loss prevention programs in a retail, distribution, or high-volume operations setting.• Working knowledge of regulatory compliance standards related to workplace safety, environmental practices, hazardous materials, and facility security.
• Ability to conduct investigations, document findings clearly, and prepare accurate reports for leadership and compliance purposes.
• Strong leadership skills with experience supervising teams, guiding performance, and driving cross-functional collaboration.
• Background in coordinating training, audits, inspections, and emergency preparedness activities within an operational environment.
• Familiarity with physical security systems, including cameras, alarms, card access, fire protection, and related life-safety equipment.
• Effective communication, planning, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and schedules.
• Proficiency in reviewing metrics, identifying trends, and recommending process improvements to strengthen safety and security performance.
Compensation
