Accounts Receivable Specialist
Responsibilities:
• Process the complete accounts receivable cycle, from issuing customer invoices through final payment reconciliation.
• Record and apply incoming cash receipts accurately to customer accounts and investigate any payment discrepancies.
• Manage commercial collection efforts by following up on overdue balances and maintaining clear communication with customers.
• Oversee the shared receivables inbox, respond to inquiries promptly, and route issues to the appropriate stakeholders when needed.
• Resolve billing concerns and account escalations by researching account history and coordinating with internal teams.
• Monitor daily cash activity and update account records to ensure accurate aging and reporting.
• Prepare and maintain documentation related to invoicing, payment activity, and account status.
• Assist with additional accounting and receivables-related tasks as business needs require.
Qualifications:
• Experience handling accounts receivable processes in a detail-focused accounting or finance setting.• Working knowledge of cash application procedures, billing operations, and payment posting.
• Background in commercial collections with the ability to communicate firmly and effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when managing invoices, cash activity, and account records.
• Ability to organize and prioritize a high volume of receivables tasks and correspondence.
• Proficiency with standard accounting systems and Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
• Effective problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate discrepancies and support issue resolution.
Compensation
