About the Opportunity
Robert Half is partnering with a well-established organization seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to support its corporate accounting and financial reporting functions. This position plays a key role in the monthly close process, general ledger maintenance, payroll-related accounting, financial reporting, budgeting support, and audit preparation. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
Key Responsibilities
General Ledger, Month-End Close & Financial Reporting
- Prepare and post monthly journal entries and perform account reconciliations in accordance with established close deadlines.
- Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Perform bank reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and resolve outstanding reconciling items.
- Analyze account activity and research variances to ensure financial accuracy.
- Prepare monthly financial statements, supporting schedules, and management reporting packages.
- Maintain fixed asset records, including additions, disposals, and depreciation schedules.
- Record payroll-related journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations while partnering with internal teams to ensure payroll accuracy.
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities and maintain accounting system data.
Audit & Compliance
- Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation for external auditors.
- Assist with annual financial statement audits and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Ensure accounting records comply with GAAP and company policies.
- Support internal controls and process improvement initiatives.
Budgeting & Financial Analysis
- Assist with the annual budgeting process and ongoing forecast updates.
- Analyze budget-to-actual results and prepare variance reports for management.
- Support departmental leaders by providing financial analysis and responding to reporting requests.
Additional Accounting Responsibilities
- Prepare financial reporting for affiliated entities and business units.
- Assist with cost allocations and shared expense calculations.
- Maintain supporting schedules and documentation for various accounting transactions.
- Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications:
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA or CPA-track preferred.
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
- Experience with month-end close, general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
- Experience with payroll accounting, accruals, and related journal entries.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis.
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting external audits.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Experience with fixed assets, cost allocations, and multi-entity accounting is a plus.

Compensation
