Help Desk Technician

Robert Half is hiring a Help Desk Technician in Doral, FL

A help desk role provides frontline IT support to users experiencing technical issues. It combines customer service, troubleshooting, and administrative tasks to ensure smooth IT operations. 

Core Duties and Responsibilities

• Respond to support requests via phone, email, chat, or ticketing systems. 
• Log and track tickets with complete incident details (user info, device, symptoms, steps taken). 
• Troubleshoot common issues such as email problems, printer errors, VPN failures, and software malfunctions. 
• Provide remote or in‑person support using diagnostic tools and remote-control software. 
• Perform account management tasks like password resets and account unlocks. 
• Escalate unresolved issues to Tier 2 or Tier 3 support with detailed notes. 
• Assist with onboarding by preparing and configuring new employee equipment. 
• Maintain documentation, including knowledge base articles and troubleshooting guides.

Qualifications:

• Basic knowledge of Windows/macOS and common productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft 365).
• Familiarity with ticketing systems like ServiceNow or Zendesk.
• Patience and customer‑service orientation.
• Basic networking knowledge (Wi‑Fi, VPN).
• Attention to detail and strong documentation habits.
