This position is located in Promontory, UT.
Responsibilities:
- Operates a truck and fifth wheel trailer combination that requires a valid CDL class A with Hazmat endorsement (required), Also, able to operate other type of truck configuration and weights.
- Coordinates the loading or unloading of trucks and trailers with team members and building owners.
- Makes minor mechanical adjustments
- Requires a valid truck operators permit
- While performing the duties of this job, the driver is regularly required to use hands and fingers to use required tie down straps, and is frequently required to stand, talk, hear, and lift or move, up to 40 pounds. The driver is occasionally required to walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in outside weather conditions and is exposed to wet, humid, cold, and hot conditions.
- Drive or pilot escort oversize loads on the facility or between facilities.
- Exclude operators on fixed schedule, long-haul runs, helpers, driver-salespeople, operators receiving commissions, zone rates, incentive pay or hazardous premium rates, transit-mix operators, and operators generally required to perform off-the-road driving
Basic Qualifications:
- Must have a valid Class A Driver’s License
- High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years of relatable experience
- Able to work to performance standards with little or no supervision
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Top Secret clearance
- Recent experience driving oversized forklift and other specialized industrial equipment
- Class A CDL
- Hazardous material endorsement (or obtain within a couple of months)
- Tank endorsement (or obtain within a couple of months)
