Legal Assistant
This popular North Dallas law firm offers a wide range of practice areas to include complex litigation matters including business disputes, Trust & Estate Litigation, Real-estate and Employment disputes. We are looking for a Legal Assistant to support litigation matters in Dallas, Texas. This position plays an important role in keeping filings, schedules, and case materials organized while assisting attorneys with day-to-day legal administrative work. The ideal candidate brings strong civil litigation experience, excellent document management skills, and the ability to handle deadlines with precision.
Responsibilities:
• Submit court documents electronically in Texas state courts and coordinate filing activity for federal courts in Texas and other jurisdictions.
• Prepare administrative and legal support materials such as expense reports, engagement documentation, and business correspondence.
• Draft initial templates for discovery requests, motions, notices, and other litigation-related pleadings for attorney review.
• Maintain accurate calendars by tracking calls, court schedules, and critical case deadlines to support timely case management.
• Coordinate deposition logistics, including scheduling and related preparations with internal and external parties.
• Assemble organized hearing, deposition, and trial materials to ensure attorneys have complete case binders when needed.
• Oversee both digital and paper case records, keeping files current, accessible, and properly organized throughout the life of each matter.
• Assist with legal research assignments and verify legal documents for accuracy, formatting, and completeness before submission.

Qualifications:
• At least 3 years of experience in a Legal Assistant role at a law firm supporting civil litigation matters.
• Practical knowledge of electronic filing procedures for state and federal courts.
• Experience managing litigation calendars, deadlines, and scheduling activities in a fast-paced legal environment.
• Background supporting complex business litigation, or employment litigation matters.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain both electronic and physical case files accurately.
• Proficiency in proofreading legal documents and preparing clear written correspondence.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
