Sr. Accountant

Compensation: $85 to $95 Yearly

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to join a growing finance team in Avon, Ohio. This position plays an important role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting a dependable close process, and helping leadership make informed business decisions. The ideal candidate brings strong accounting expertise, experience in a manufacturing environment, and the ability to work effectively with both internal teams and external partners.

Responsibilities:
• Lead essential closing activities each month, including preparation of journal entries, accruals, prepaid schedules, fixed asset accounting, and inventory-related transactions.
• Maintain and reconcile key balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy across cash, receivables, payables, payroll, accruals, inventory, and intercompany balances.
• Contribute to the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, including analytical review of performance fluctuations and trends.
• Provide accounting guidance and review support for accounts payable and accounts receivable activities handled by the accounting support team.
• Partner with HR to record payroll-related entries, track accruals, and complete reconciliations tied to compensation and benefits activity.
• Assist with tax and compliance tasks such as 1099 reporting, sales and use tax support, audit schedules, and internal control documentation.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow review, and management reporting to strengthen financial planning and operational visibility.
• Help monitor capital spending, banking-related activity, and intercompany transactions while identifying opportunities to improve accounting processes and controls.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including substantial responsibility for month-end close and general ledger accounting.
• Background in manufacturing accounting with familiarity in inventory and cost-related financial activity.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. accounting principles and standard financial controls.
• Experience working with ERP or accounting platforms such as Infor, Sage, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, or similar systems.
• Advanced Excel capability, including functions such as lookups and pivot tables; Power Query or Power Pivot is a plus.
• Proven ability to prepare journal entries, perform account reconciliations, and complete variance analysis with a high degree of accuracy.
• Strong communication, organization, and analytical skills with the ability to collaborate across operations, supply chain, sales, and HR teams.

Compensation

$85,000.00-$95,000.00 Yearly
