Payroll Clerk

We are looking for a Payroll Clerk to support accurate and timely payroll operations for a workforce of approximately 101 to 500 employees. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who is highly organized and experienced in end-to-end payroll processing. The role will focus on maintaining payroll accuracy, addressing employee pay matters, and ensuring compliance with garnishment and payroll procedures.

Responsibilities:
• Process full-cycle payroll for a mid-sized employee population, ensuring wages are calculated and issued accurately and on schedule.
• Review payroll data for completeness and accuracy, including hours worked, deductions, benefits, and other earnings adjustments.
• Administer payroll garnishments and related deductions in accordance with applicable orders, policies, and regulations.
• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies by working with employees and internal partners to correct issues promptly.
• Maintain payroll records and supporting documentation in an organized manner to support audits and reporting needs.
• Assist with payroll-related inquiries, providing clear and attentive support to employees, including staff who speak Spanish when needed.
• Help ensure payroll activities align with company procedures as well as federal, state, and local payroll requirements.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in payroll processing, including full-cycle payroll responsibilities.
• Ability to manage payroll for an employee population ranging from 101 to 500 employees.
• Working knowledge of payroll garnishments and related deductions.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
• Experience reviewing payroll information for accuracy and resolving discrepancies efficiently.
• Effective communication skills in English; Spanish language ability is preferred or highly valued.
• Proficiency with payroll systems and general administrative or data-entry tasks related to payroll operations.

Compensation

$33.25-$35.00 Hourly
