Motion Drafting Attorney
Responsibilities:
• Draft complaints, motions, briefs, and other litigation documents for consumer warranty matters with accuracy and strong attention to deadlines.
• Support attorneys on active cases by preparing pleadings, organizing case materials, and advancing matters through each stage of litigation.
• Apply firm-approved formats, established procedures, and legal research to produce clear and persuasive written work.
• Assist with discovery-related tasks, including preparing responses, reviewing materials, and helping manage document flow.
• Use legal technology and workflow tools to improve efficiency, track assignments, and maintain consistent drafting quality.
• Contribute to a high-volume practice by balancing multiple priorities while maintaining organized and timely deliverables.
• Transition into expanded litigation involvement after conversion, which may include court appearances and greater ownership of case strategy.
Qualifications:
• Active membership in the California Bar is required.• Must be located in Los Angeles, California.
• Experience or demonstrated ability in civil litigation drafting, including motions, pleadings, and briefs.
• Familiarity with discovery processes and litigation support tasks in a deadline-driven setting.
• Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments efficiently in a fast-paced practice environment.
• Openness to building plaintiff-side litigation experience, whether newly admitted or transitioning from another area of practice.
Compensation
