Sales Assistant
We are seeking an outgoing and customer-focused Sales Assistant for a long-term contract opportunity in Gastonia, North Carolina. This part-time role is ideal for someone who enjoys engaging with people, creating positive customer experiences, and helping connect interested shoppers with available services. Success in this position comes from proactive customer interactions, strong communication, and consistent follow-up during scheduled weekly shifts. The shift time is Wednesday - Saturday 10:00am - 4:00pm.
Responsibilities:
• Engage with shoppers in a retail environment, initiating friendly conversations to understand their needs and introduce available services.
• Explain service offerings in a clear and engaging way to generate interest and identify potential customer needs.
• Qualify prospective customers and schedule appointments using a company-provided tablet.
• Maintain an efficient and detail-oriented presence on the sales floor while representing the brand positively.
• Work assigned part-time shifts across partner retail locations based on store scheduling needs.
• Track customer interactions accurately and ensure appointment details are entered correctly.
• Collaborate with store personnel and internal teams to support smooth in-store lead generation activities.
• Consistently apply effective inside and direct sales techniques to increase appointment-setting results.
Qualifications:
• Previous experience in retail, hospitality, food service, or another customer-facing environment.• Confidence starting conversations with new people and building rapport in a busy public setting.
• Strong verbal communication skills and a friendly, persuasive approach to customer engagement.
• Comfort using a tablet or similar device to enter information and book appointments.
• Ability to work a consistent part-time schedule, including weekday and weekend shifts as assigned.
• A positive attitude, dependable work habits, and the energy to remain active on the sales floor.
• Background in inside sales, direct sales, inbound sales, outbound sales, or general sales is preferred.
Compensation
