Payroll Specialist
Responsibilities:
• Process full-cycle payroll for a workforce of more than 500 employees, ensuring timely and accurate pay each cycle.
• Administer multi-state payroll activities, including proper earnings, deductions, and compliance with jurisdictional requirements.
• Manage union payroll components such as fringes and dues, maintaining accurate calculations and remittances.
• Use ADP Workforce Now to maintain payroll records, review transactions, and support ongoing payroll operations.
• Research and correct state payroll tax issues, including reconciling past discrepancies and helping restore compliance.
• Review payroll data for accuracy, investigate variances, and resolve issues related to employee pay and deductions.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to address payroll questions and support consistent payroll processes across the organization.
Qualifications:
• At least 3 years of payroll experience, including responsibility for full-cycle payroll processing.• Hands-on experience running payroll for 500 or more employees.
• Strong background in multi-state payroll administration and payroll tax compliance.
• Practical experience working in ADP Workforce Now.
• Knowledge of union payroll practices, including fringes and dues.
• Proven ability to identify, research, and resolve state tax errors or cleanup issues.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive payroll information with accuracy and discretion.
Compensation
