Sr. Accountant

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to support key accounting operations for a long-term contract opportunity in Miami, Florida. This role will focus on core close activities, financial reconciliations, and accurate recording of journal entries across multiple organizational locations. The ideal candidate brings a strong general ledger background, works well in a hybrid environment, and can manage deadlines with accuracy and consistency.

Responsibilities:
• Lead monthly close activities by preparing and reviewing entries that support timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Perform account and bank reconciliations, investigate variances, and resolve outstanding items efficiently.
• Maintain general ledger accuracy through detailed analysis, proper classification, and consistent documentation.
• Support consolidation-related accounting tasks across multiple business locations and ensure information is aligned for reporting purposes.
• Prepare journal entries with appropriate support and verify that transactions are recorded in accordance with accounting standards.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather financial data, clarify discrepancies, and improve close-cycle efficiency.
• Assist with hybrid team coordination while maintaining dependable communication and follow-through on deliverables.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in month-end close and corporate accounting activities.
• Strong working knowledge of general ledger accounting and journal entry preparation.
• Hands-on experience with account reconciliations and bank reconciliations.
• Ability to support accounting processes across multiple locations or entities.
• High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working in a hybrid schedule with regular onsite presence and remote work on Fridays.

Compensation

$47.50-$55.00 Hourly
