Accounting Specialist

Compensation: $19.95 to $23.10 Hourly

We are looking for an Accounting Specialist to join a hospitality organization in Bella Vista, Arkansas on a part-time Contract basis. This on-site opportunity offers up to 28 hours per week and is well suited for someone who enjoys keeping financial records accurate, supporting daily accounting activity, and contributing to a dependable team environment. The position plays an important role in invoice handling, payment coordination, reconciliations, and month-end support while working closely with both internal partners and outside vendors.

Responsibilities:
• Review and enter vendor invoices, confirming details are complete, accurate, and submitted within required timelines.
• Compare invoices with related records, investigate inconsistencies, and help resolve payment or documentation issues.
• Coordinate outgoing payments by check and electronic methods while maintaining proper records of each transaction.
• Assign recurring charges to the correct accounts and help keep financial data properly classified.
• Contribute to monthly closing activities by assisting with reconciliations, reporting tasks, and general ledger support.
• Maintain well-organized digital accounting files, including scanned documents and other supporting records.
• Respond to questions from departments and vendors regarding invoices, payments, and account activity in a thorough manner.
• Support inventory-related accounting tasks and provide coverage for other team members when needed.
• Complete additional accounting and administrative assignments that help the department operate efficiently.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, bookkeeping, billing, or a similar accounting support role.
• Working knowledge of core accounting practices, including reconciliations, invoice processing, and general ledger activity.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle data entry and financial records accurately.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, stay organized, and meet deadlines in a structured office setting.
• Clear communication skills and a detail-focused approach when assisting internal teams and external vendors.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, along with experience using accounting software.
• Familiarity with systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is preferred.
• Ability to follow established procedures and collaborate effectively as part of an on-site team.

Compensation

$19.95-$23.10 Hourly
