HR Consultant
Our client is seeking an analytical and detail-oriented HR Specialist to support workforce planning, job analysis, organizational effectiveness, and labor utilization initiatives. This role will partner closely with HR and operational leadership to evaluate current staffing structures, conduct time and motion studies, analyze job functions, and recommend improvements that enhance productivity and workforce efficiency.
The ideal candidate brings experience in workforce analytics, job evaluation, process improvement, and organizational design, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business recommendations. This position is well-suited for an HR professional who enjoys combining people-focused strategies with operational analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct time studies and work measurement analyses to evaluate labor utilization, productivity, and staffing requirements.
- Perform comprehensive job analyses to identify essential functions, task frequency, skill requirements, physical demands, and performance expectations.
- Develop, maintain, and update job descriptions to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with organizational objectives.
- Analyze workflows, business processes, and workforce allocation to identify opportunities for improved efficiency and effectiveness.
- Partner with department leaders to assess staffing models, workload distribution, and workforce planning needs.
- Collect, interpret, and analyze workforce data, including cycle times, productivity metrics, and labor requirements.
- Support organizational design initiatives by evaluating reporting structures, role alignment, and workforce utilization.
- Assist with compensation and job classification reviews through detailed job documentation and market-aligned job evaluation practices.
- Ensure job analysis, classification, and workforce planning activities comply with applicable employment regulations and internal policies.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and recommendations for HR leadership and operational stakeholders.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational excellence and workforce optimization.
- Support special projects related to organizational effectiveness, labor forecasting, and workforce planning.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Industrial Psychology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience with significant exposure to workforce planning, job analysis, labor analysis, or organizational effectiveness initiatives.
- Strong understanding of job evaluation methodologies, workforce planning principles, and organizational design concepts.
- Experience conducting job analyses and developing detailed, compliant job descriptions.
- Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including reporting, data analysis, and workforce metrics.
- Experience working with HRIS, workforce management, or business intelligence systems.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of an organization.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize competing deadlines, and deliver accurate results.
- Knowledge of employment regulations related to job classifications, labor standards, and workforce management preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience conducting time and motion studies in manufacturing, healthcare, distribution, logistics, or other operational environments.
- Familiarity with FLSA exemption reviews, job architecture frameworks, and compensation analysis.
- Experience supporting organizational redesign or workforce optimization initiatives.
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, process improvement, or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong project management skills and experience leading cross-functional initiatives.
- Ability to present workforce recommendations and business cases to senior leadership.

Compensation
