Business Development Manager
Are you a strategic sales leader with a proven track record of growing national retail accounts in the CPG food industry? We're partnering with an established organization to hire a Business Sales Manager to lead national account growth, strengthen broker partnerships, and drive category expansion across some of the country's largest retailers.
We're looking for professionals with experience in:
✔️ Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), preferably shelf-stable, specialty, imported, or Mediterranean foods
✔️ Managing corporate buyer relationships with major retailers
✔️ Developing Joint Business Plans (JBP), category reviews, and annual business reviews
✔️ Leading and holding broker agencies accountable through KPIs and performance metrics
✔️ Managing trade budgets, forecasting, promotional planning, and P& L
✔️ Delivering consistent revenue growth while managing portfolios
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree required.• Demonstrated experience in business development, territory growth, or a comparable sales-focused role.
• Strong direct sales skills with the ability to generate leads, develop relationships, and close new business.
• Proven ability to increase sales and meet or exceed revenue goals.
• Effective relationship management skills, including experience working with clients, partners, or brokers.
• Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to analyze market opportunities and translate insights into practical sales strategies.
Compensation
