Sr Manager, Resolute Billing (EPIC)
We are seeking an experienced Epic Resolute Professional Billing (PB) Application Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of an Epic Resolute team supporting a complex healthcare revenue cycle environment. This individual will oversee a team responsible for configuring, maintaining, and optimizing the Epic Resolute Professional Billing application while driving strategic initiatives that improve operational efficiency, billing performance, and system reliability.
The ideal candidate is a proven people leader with deep expertise in Epic Resolute PB, healthcare revenue cycle operations, and project governance.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Epic Resolute Analysts.
- Establish team goals, performance metrics, and professional development plans.
- Conduct performance evaluations and foster leadership growth within the team.
- Oversee a portfolio of revenue cycle initiatives, from system enhancements to enterprise implementations.
- Develop and maintain project governance processes for project intake, prioritization, and reporting.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives.
- Review and approve complex Epic configurations to maintain system integrity, compliance, and data accuracy.
- Provide leadership for troubleshooting complex Professional Billing issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Leverage reporting and analytics to identify denial trends, revenue leakage, workflow inefficiencies, and other optimization opportunities.
- Translate analytical findings into actionable recommendations and process improvement initiatives.
- Establish and enforce change management and configuration governance standards.
- Partner with Revenue Cycle, Finance, Clinical Operations, and IT leadership to support strategic initiatives.
- Drive continuous optimization of the Epic Resolute environment.
- Lead application upgrades while ensuring system stability, security, and business continuity.
Qualifications:
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience supporting Epic Resolute Professional Billing within a healthcare revenue cycle environment.
- 4+ years of leadership or management experience.
- Strong knowledge of Professional Billing workflows, including Charge Router, claims processing, remittance, and payment posting.
- Experience managing large-scale Epic implementations and application optimization projects.
- Demonstrated success building and leading high-performing technical teams.
- Experience developing governance processes for enterprise Epic or healthcare billing platforms.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA, CMS regulations, and commercial payer requirements.
- Epic Resolute certification.
- Project Management certification.
Preferred
- Master's degree in a related field.
- Experience with automation, AI, or robotic process automation (RPA) in healthcare operations.
- Lean Six Sigma or Agile experience.
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other reporting and visualization tools.
- Additional Epic certifications.
Work Environment
- Lead a team supporting Professional Billing and Claims applications.
- Fast-paced healthcare technology environment.
- Occasional evening, weekend, and holiday work to support upgrades, maintenance, and critical system events.
- Up to 25% travel (approximately one week per month).
Compensation
