Paralegal
Litigation Paralegal / Legal Assistant
A growing, full-service law firm is seeking a Litigation Paralegal / Legal Assistant to support a team of attorneys in its Fort Lauderdale office. This is a unique hybrid role offering exposure to both litigation and transactional matters, with a primary focus on litigation support.
Key Responsibilities:
Draft and file pleadings, motions, and legal correspondence
Manage state and federal court filings and deadlines
Assist with case management, document organization, and attorney support
Coordinate meetings, communicate with clients, and provide administrative assistance as needed
Support a team of attorneys across a variety of practice areas
Maintain accurate records and ensure all matters are handled with a high level of attention to detail
Qualifications:
5–7+ years of legal support experience in a law firm environment
Strong litigation experience required; exposure to transactional/corporate matters is a plus
Knowledge of both Florida state and federal court procedures
Highly detail-oriented, proactive, and organized
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Professional, outgoing, and client-service focused demeanor
Compensation & Schedule:
$80,000–$100,000 base salary, depending on experience
First 90 days fully in-office for training and integration
Hybrid schedule thereafter (4 days in office, 1 day remote)
Annual merit increases based on performance

Qualifications:
• At least 5 years of legal support experience within a law firm setting.• Demonstrated background in litigation support, including work related to civil litigation and discovery.
• Familiarity with Florida state and federal court procedures and filing requirements.
• Experience using case management software to organize matters and support workflow efficiency.
• Strong trial preparation skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a detail-focused, client-focused presence.
• Highly organized, proactive, and dependable, with consistent attention to detail.
• Exposure to transactional or corporate legal work is helpful but not required.
Compensation
