Sr. Financial Analyst

We are looking for a Sr. Financial Analyst to join a Contract assignment in Lawrence, Massachusetts. This role will serve as a key finance partner during a multi-site implementation effort, helping connect project activity with core accounting and reporting needs. The consultant will analyze complex financial and operational data, strengthen reporting for leadership, and support critical validation and close activities that contribute to a successful launch.

Responsibilities:
• Partner with implementation and accounting teams to align financial processes, data needs, and reporting throughout the pilot rollout.
• Extract information from legacy and newly deployed systems, then review results for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
• Reconcile financial records with operational data to identify mismatches, investigate root causes, and resolve reporting issues.
• Build and maintain advanced Excel models that support analysis, forecasting, and decision-making for finance leadership.
• Develop dashboards and recurring reports that highlight trends, performance indicators, and implementation progress.
• Contribute to testing activities, data clean-up efforts, and documentation updates needed to support system readiness.
• Assist with month-end close tasks by preparing analyses, validating balances, and addressing questions related to implementation impacts.
• Deliver ad hoc financial analysis and present actionable insights to cross-functional stakeholders and leadership teams.

Qualifications:

• Advanced Excel expertise, including PivotTables, complex formulas, Power Query, dashboards, and analysis of large data sets.
• Strong background in financial analysis, financial modeling, variance review, and ad hoc reporting.
• Proven ability to reconcile large volumes of financial and operational data with a high level of accuracy.
• Experience supporting user acceptance testing and data validation activities in a finance environment.
• Ability to recognize discrepancies quickly, investigate underlying issues, and recommend practical solutions.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across finance, accounting, and project teams.
• Previous experience supporting finance during a system implementation is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with KPI reporting and data mining techniques is desirable.

Compensation

$50.00-$55.00 Hourly
