Accountant
Responsibilities:
• Manage day-to-day accounting transactions across payables, receivables, and payroll to keep financial activity current and accurate.
• Prepare financial reports and contribute to planning efforts by supporting budget development and forecasting activities.
• Perform reconciliations for bank accounts, general ledger balances, and corporate card activity, and investigate variances as needed.
• Produce accounts receivable aging summaries and follow up with customers to help reduce overdue balances.
• Examine invoices for accuracy, address billing issues, and coordinate timely payment processing.
• Maintain organized accounting documentation and assist with month-end close and related reporting deliverables.
• Respond to questions from vendors, employees, and clients by providing clear and timely support on accounting-related matters.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.• Previous experience in an accounting role is required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and standard accounting applications.
• Experience using QuickBooks is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to complete account reconciliations accurately and efficiently.
• Working knowledge of general ledger activity and journal entry processing.
• Strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
