Customer Service Representative
Robert Half is looking for a Customer Service Representative to join a team in a contract-to-permanent role. This position focuses on delivering a high-quality customer experience through clear communication, accurate order handling, and dependable support throughout the full order lifecycle. The ideal candidate is comfortable managing multiple priorities, working collaboratively across teams, and resolving customer issues with professionalism and attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
• Manage customer orders from initial entry through final fulfillment, ensuring each step is completed accurately and on schedule.
• Review purchase orders and related documents to confirm shipping details, billing information, pricing, quantities, terms, and special delivery requirements.
• Maintain customer records by updating pricing details, item information, address changes, delivery notes, and other account-related data.
• Communicate with customers, sales representatives, and internal teams to provide timely updates and coordinate order-related needs.
• Record special instructions and customer-specific requests to support accurate processing and service continuity.
• Investigate customer concerns, document findings, and follow established procedures to resolve complaints and product return requests promptly.
• Support shared order intake and data entry activities while assisting teammates as business demands shift.
• Follow company standards for safety, quality, compliance, and regulatory requirements in all daily customer service activities.
Qualifications:
• At least 2 years of experience in customer service or a closely related role.• Ability to solve problems independently while making sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with a detail-oriented and customer-focused approach.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and stay organized under pressure.
• Collaborative mindset with strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to team success.
• Experience using Microsoft Office and other business systems for order processing, communication, and record management.
• Ability to remain calm and effective during customer conversations, including challenging situations.
• Experience in manufacturing or chemical distribution environments is helpful but not required.
Compensation
