Accounting Manager/Supervisor

š Key Responsibilities
š¹ Leadership & Strategy
- Present financial updates to Board & committees
- Partner with leadership on budgeting, policy, and planning
- Develop and enforce accounting policies, controls, and procedures
- Serve as liaison with government and external stakeholders
- Monitor regulatory changes and ensure compliance
- Provide guidance on budget management and financial performance
- Strengthen internal controls across AP, payroll, procurement, and assets
š¹ Financial Management
- Lead annual budget, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Oversee contracts, procurement, and financial reporting
- Evaluate operations for efficiency and cost improvements
- Provide financial analysis on investments, pricing, and contracts
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local requirements
- Manage grants and FEMA processes
- Monitor economic trends (e.g., Hotel Occupancy Tax impacts)
š¹ Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff
- Oversee hiring, training, and performance management
- Drive succession planning and continuous improvement
- Align team with departmental goals and organizational mission

Qualifications:
ā Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelorās in Accounting/Business and 5+ years leadership (government or nonprofit)
- Strong communication & public presentation skills
- High emotional intelligence and team leadership ability
- Proficiency in accounting/payroll systems
- Ability to handle confidential information
ā Preferred
- Masterās in Accounting/Business
- CPA

Compensation
