Accounts Receivable Clerk
Responsibilities:
• Record and apply incoming bank deposits to customer accounts with a high level of accuracy.
• Review checks and remittance details to ensure proper coding and timely cash posting.
• Manage customer chargebacks and deduction activity, including research and follow-up on open items.
• Process product returns, issue credit memos, and handle markdown-related account adjustments.
• Investigate and resolve invoice variances promptly by coordinating with relevant internal stakeholders.
• Submit credit requests to external credit insurance providers and maintain supporting documentation.
• Partner with sales staff and management to review customer credit exposure and assigned credit limits.
• Notify leadership when customer credit availability changes and help maintain accurate internal credit line records.
Qualifications:
• At least 2 years of experience in accounts receivable or a closely related accounting support role.• Practical knowledge of cash applications, billing support, and commercial collections processes.
• Experience handling chargebacks, deductions, returns, and credit memo activity.
• Familiarity with customer credit review procedures and communication with credit insurance providers.
• Ability to identify invoice discrepancies and resolve issues in a timely, organized manner.
• Strong attention to detail with solid numerical accuracy and recordkeeping skills.
• Effective communication skills for working with sales teams, management, and external contacts.
Compensation
