In House Counsel
We are looking for an experienced In House Counsel to support a Contract engagement in Washington, District of Columbia. Responsibilities:
• Prepare, review, and revise a wide range of commercial agreements to ensure accuracy, consistency, and legal protection for the organization.
• Lead contract discussions with external parties and internal stakeholders, working to achieve terms that align with business objectives and risk standards.
• Advise teams on corporate law issues that affect daily operations, strategic initiatives, and contractual obligations.
• Identify legal, commercial, and operational risks within proposed agreements and recommend practical alternatives to address concerns.
• Partner with business leaders to interpret contractual language, clarify obligations, and support informed decision-making.
• Support the development and refinement of contract templates, clause libraries, and related legal documentation processes as needed.
• Ensure agreements and related practices remain aligned with applicable laws, regulatory expectations, and company policies.
Qualifications:
• Licensed attorney in good standing with the ability to provide legal support in a corporate or commercial environment.• Demonstrated experience handling commercial contracts from drafting through negotiation and execution.
• Strong working knowledge of corporate law and its application to business transactions and operational matters.
• Ability to translate complex legal concepts into clear, practical guidance for non-legal stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high level of attention to detail.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
