Receptionist

We are looking for a detail-oriented Receptionist to support daily front-desk operations in Boston, Massachusetts. This is a Long-term Contract opportunity for someone who enjoys creating a welcoming experience, managing incoming communications, and keeping the reception area organized. The ideal candidate is courteous, dependable, and comfortable handling a steady flow of calls and visitor interactions in a part-time capacity.

Responsibilities:
• Welcome visitors warmly, direct them to the appropriate contacts, and maintain a welcoming front-desk presence.
• Manage a multi-line phone system by answering incoming calls promptly, screening inquiries, and transferring calls accurately.
• Handle switchboard activity efficiently across multiple phone lines while ensuring clear and effective communication.
• Take and relay messages with accuracy, ensuring timely follow-up by the appropriate team members.
• Support day-to-day reception coverage by monitoring the front area and responding to general administrative needs.
• Maintain an organized reception space and assist with routine clerical tasks that help office operations run smoothly.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in a receptionist, front-desk, or customer-facing administrative role.
• Ability to operate a multi-line phone system and manage high-volume inbound calls confidently.
• Strong verbal communication skills with a courteous and detail-focused phone manner.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail when handling messages and visitor information.
• Dependable attendance and the ability to provide consistent part-time reception support.
• Comfortable working in an office setting and managing multiple priorities throughout the day.

Compensation

$33.25-$38.50 Hourly
