HR Business Partner

Compensation: $40 to $45 Hourly

We are looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to support leaders and employees in Somerset, New Jersey. This Long-term Contract position blends strategic partnership with hands-on HR delivery, helping the site strengthen workforce effectiveness, compliance, and employee engagement. The role will serve as a key advisor on people matters while driving consistent HR practices in a regulated operating environment.

Responsibilities:
• Partner with site leaders and managers to address employee relations matters, resolve workplace concerns, and guide fair application of disciplinary and grievance processes.
• Lead performance management activities by coaching supervisors on goal setting, feedback conversations, probation oversight, and improvement planning.
• Maintain and update HR policies and procedures, ensuring they align with company standards and are clearly communicated across the site.
• Support talent planning efforts through workforce planning, succession discussions, and organizational development initiatives that build team capability.
• Coordinate learning programs such as onboarding, compliance education, and targeted development activities to strengthen employee skills and engagement.
• Analyze HR data including staffing levels, turnover, absenteeism, and recruiting trends to provide practical insights for business decisions.
• Promote a positive workplace culture by supporting engagement programs and initiatives that reinforce company values and employee experience.
• Ensure adherence to employment laws, internal policies, and audit requirements, and assist with HR-related inspections or compliance reviews.
• Identify opportunities to improve HR operations through automation, AI-enabled solutions, and more efficient people processes.

Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of progressive HR experience, including meaningful exposure to employee relations, performance management, and HR advisory support.
• Demonstrated background as an HR Business Partner, HR Manager, or similar role supporting cross-functional teams.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. employment law and practical HR policy application in a business setting.
• Ability to manage sensitive information with sound judgment, professionalism, and a high level of discretion.
• Effective communication and coaching skills with the ability to influence managers and build trusted relationships across organizational levels.
• Experience working with HR metrics, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; HR certification is a plus.
• Experience with benefits coordination, payroll systems such as Paylocity, and work in regulated or manufacturing environments is preferred.

Compensation

$40.00-$45.00 Hourly
