Accounts Payable Clerk – Contract Opportunity | Naples, FL

We're seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Naples, Florida on a contract basis. In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring invoices are processed accurately, vendors are paid on time, and accounting records remain organized and compliant. What You'll Do:
- Review and process invoices, verifying supporting documentation and assigning the appropriate accounting codes.
- Enter accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently into the accounting system.
- Prepare payment batches and assist with scheduled check runs.
- Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies by collaborating with internal teams and vendors.
- Maintain organized accounts payable files and documentation for audits and record retention.
- Reconcile vendor accounts and help ensure payment records remain accurate.
- Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payments, invoices, and account updates.

Qualifications:
• Previous experience in accounts payable or a closely related accounting support role• Working knowledge of invoice coding, payment processing, and check run procedures
• Ability to process a high volume of invoices while maintaining strong attention to detail
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial record accuracy
• Proficiency with accounting software and standard Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage deadlines and shifting priorities
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for coordination with vendors and internal stakeholders
Compensation
