Position Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Systems Administrator with strong Microsoft Intune experience to support a large-scale enterprise environment. This role requires an individual who is comfortable working across endpoint management, desktop support, security compliance, and network troubleshooting while taking ownership of technical issues from identification through resolution.

This is not a traditional service desk position. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver who can independently manage projects, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and support a secure, compliance-driven environment. Candidates should have demonstrated experience administering Intune-managed devices and implementing endpoint security and policy controls within enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and support Microsoft Intune-managed devices and applications in an enterprise environment.
  • Implement and manage Intune policies, including password policies, device controls, security baselines, media restrictions, and endpoint hardening configurations.
  • Troubleshoot device compliance issues, policy application failures, software deployments, and endpoint management challenges.
  • Manage and maintain URL filtering configurations and access controls.
  • Provide hands-on desktop and endpoint support for Windows-based environments.
  • Troubleshoot operating system, hardware, peripheral device, and user-related technical issues.
  • Support endpoint security initiatives and ensure compliance with organizational security standards and policies.
  • Work across multiple technical disciplines, including endpoint management, desktop support, asset management, security, and infrastructure support.
  • Investigate and resolve network connectivity issues involving DNS, VPNs, IP addressing, ports, URL filtering, and access restrictions.
  • Maintain documentation, support operational improvements, and contribute to process enhancements.
  • Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to ensure reliable and secure service delivery.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field; equivalent hands-on experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust background investigation.
  • 3+ years of experience supporting enterprise desktop and endpoint environments.
  • Hands-on experience administering Microsoft Intune in a production environment, including:
  • Device management
  • Application deployment
  • Compliance policies
  • Configuration profiles
  • Endpoint security controls
  • Experience implementing security hardening measures and endpoint management policies.
  • Experience managing URL filtering and access control configurations.
  • Strong troubleshooting experience within Windows enterprise environments.
  • Experience supporting endpoint compliance, security policies, and enterprise standards.
  • Ability to manage work independently using Microsoft 365 tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of projects and drive issues to resolution with minimal supervision.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with IP addressing, subnetting, routing, and general network troubleshooting.
  • Firewall administration or firewall management experience with any enterprise platform.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) administration.
  • Experience working within regulated or highly secure environments.
  • Knowledge of security frameworks and endpoint compliance standards such as CIS Benchmarks, STIGs, or similar controls.
  • Experience supporting VoIP technologies, asset management processes, and enterprise desktop operations.
