Level 2/3 Engineer
We are looking for a Level 2/3 Engineer to provide part-time/adhoc IT support for a locally based IT services firm in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The role is primarily remote, while also requiring occasional on-site visits when client needs call for hands-on technical support. Flexible scheduling is available, though periodic coordination during standard business hours will be expected.
Initial IT support request is troubleshooting Network/WIFI issues for a local Non-profit.
Responsibilities:

• Deliver Level 2 and Level 3 technical support across Windows server infrastructure, networking components, and related systems.
• Administer Active Directory tasks such as account and profile setup, directory maintenance, and issue remediation.
• Investigate server performance and configuration concerns to restore stability and maintain reliable operations.
• Configure and support firewall and network settings to help ensure secure and consistent connectivity.
• Provide remote troubleshooting for most requests while traveling on-site to client locations when direct intervention is necessary.
• Communicate clearly with client stakeholders, provide thorough service updates, and help set expectations around issue resolution.
• Coordinate availability for ad hoc support needs and participate in occasional business-hours check-ins to review active work.
• Document findings, actions taken, and recommendations to support ongoing service continuity for client accounts.
Other duties as needed
Qualifications:
The successful Level 2 /3 Engineer will have:
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in infrastructure support or a similar IT role.
• Practical expertise with Active Directory administration, including user profiles, troubleshooting, and ongoing management.
• Experience supporting Microsoft Windows Server environments.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot networking issues, including wireless connectivity and general infrastructure faults.
• Experience with firewall and server configuration in business or client-facing environments.
• Comfortable working independently in a primarily remote Contract role with occasional on-site responsibilities.
• Effective customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients.
