Logistics Manager

We are looking for a Logistics Manager to support and strengthen day-to-day distribution, warehouse, and inventory activities in Louisville, Kentucky. This contract-to-permanent opportunity is ideal for a Logistics Manager who can improve operational flow, maintain shipping accuracy, and help create a dependable customer delivery process. The person in this role will work closely with operations and cross-functional teams to enhance efficiency, uphold safety standards, and support long-term operational success. The hours for the Logistics Manager are Monday-Friday: 7AM-3:30PM.

Responsibilities:

• Direct daily warehouse and logistics activities to keep receiving, storage, picking, and outbound shipments running smoothly.

• Supervise shipping and inventory processes to ensure customer orders are completed accurately and dispatched on schedule.

• Partner with team members across operations, purchasing, engineering, quality, and customer support to resolve material flow issues and improve coordination.

• Oversee inventory control efforts by managing cycle counts, reviewing discrepancies, and supporting regular stock audits.

• Arrange domestic and international transportation, including shipments that require customs-related coordination.

• Evaluate warehouse layout and storage practices to improve space usage, organization, and movement of materials.

• Establish and refine packaging and shipping procedures to increase consistency, accuracy, and efficiency.

• Track operational metrics and use performance data to identify improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions.

• Promote a safe, orderly, and policy-compliant work environment while developing warehouse and logistics personnel.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or comparable hands-on experience in logistics, supply chain, operations, or a related field.

• At least five years of leadership experience in logistics, warehousing, or supply chain operations within a manufacturing environment.

• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, set priorities, and drive process improvements in a fast-paced setting.

• Experience with ERP or business systems used for inventory and logistics management.

• Strong working knowledge of shipping functions, logistics coordination, and distribution processes.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, with advanced capability in Excel preferred.

• Solid communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Experience supporting international freight and customs processes is preferred.
