HR Generalist
Responsibilities:
• Administer payroll and employee benefits for a workforce of approximately 40 employees, including bonuses, leave tracking, and absence management through HR systems such as Paylocity.
• Maintain accurate employee records by organizing and updating both digital files and physical documentation in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
• Prepare HR documents and reporting related to performance reviews, employment changes, and other personnel activities.
• Lead employee feedback initiatives by coordinating satisfaction surveys, interpreting results, and recommending practical steps to enhance the employee experience.
• Serve as a resource for employees by addressing HR-related questions and resolving workplace issues in a timely and thorough manner.
• Support recruiting efforts by reviewing candidate resumes, maintaining applicant data, and assisting with staffing coordination throughout the hiring process.
• Develop and deliver onboarding plans and orientation for new employees to ensure a smooth and engaging introduction to the organization.
• Promote compliance by applying company policies consistently, monitoring labor law requirements, and assisting with HR investigations when needed.
• Strengthen employee relations by contributing to updated job descriptions, analyzing exit interview feedback, and recommending improvements to workplace practices.
• Communicate with external agencies and public service entities as required to support employment-related matters and regulatory obligations.
Qualifications:
• Experience in human resources administration with hands-on responsibility for employee relations, onboarding, and benefits coordination.• Working knowledge of payroll processing, leave administration, and HR compliance requirements at the federal and state levels.
• Proficiency with HRIS platforms, including experience using Paylocity or a comparable human resources system.
• Ability to manage confidential records, maintain accurate documentation, and produce clear HR reports.
• Experience supporting recruitment activities such as resume screening, candidate tracking, and hiring coordination.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to respond effectively to employee concerns.
• Familiarity with employment laws, workplace policies, and standard HR practices related to investigations and compliance monitoring.
