Paralegal, Workers' Compensation
A well-established plaintiff-side law firm in Minneapolis is seeking an experienced Workers’ Compensation Paralegal to join its growing team. This is a full-time, in-office position supporting a fast-paced and collaborative practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal support to 1–2 attorneys in a busy workers’ compensation practice
- Draft legal pleadings, correspondence, and other case-related documents
- File pleadings and manage court submissions
- Monitor case schedules, deadlines, and important filings
- Manage and organize client files, including electronic document systems
- Coordinate and maintain attorney calendars and scheduling
- Prepare discovery requests and responses
- Obtain and manage medical and wage records
- Assist with trial preparation and case strategy support
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and third parties
- Respond to inquiries and maintain strong client relationships
- Support overall team initiatives and assist with additional projects as needed
Qualifications:
• At least two years of experience in a paralegal role, within a Workers' Compensation practice.
• Proficiency in managing discovery processes and preparing trial materials.
• Strong organizational skills for maintaining detailed case files and managing deadlines.
• Familiarity with case management software to streamline legal workflows.
• Knowledge of Workers' Compensation law and procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for drafting documents and interacting with clients.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to shared goals.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills to ensure accuracy in all tasks.
