Tax Staff - Public
Responsibilities:
• Prepare federal and state tax filings for individuals, business entities, and trusts while ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
• Review client financial records, organize supporting documentation, and analyze data needed to complete tax engagements.
• Contribute to tax research and planning efforts by applying current laws and regulations to client situations.
• Investigate tax notices, variances, and filing issues, then assist in developing appropriate resolutions.
• Partner with senior accountants and managers to deliver high-quality work across multiple client assignments.
• Maintain complete workpapers and engagement documentation in accordance with firm expectations.
• Monitor updates in tax legislation and accounting guidance to support compliant and informed tax preparation.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related discipline.• CPA license or active progress toward obtaining the designation.
• At least 2 years of experience in public accounting or a tax-focused role.
• Hands-on experience preparing returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts.
• Strong analytical thinking, organization, and problem-solving ability.
• High level of accuracy with the ability to manage deadlines effectively.
• Proficiency with tax preparation software and Microsoft Excel.
• Effective communication skills and a client-focused approach.
Compensation
$65,000.00-$70,000.00 YearlyAbout Us
