Robert Half Legal is partnering with a well-established plaintiff-side personal injury law firm seeking an Attorney to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for attorneys with strong plaintiff personal injury experience who are looking to take ownership of a caseload and work closely with firm leadership.

 

Location: Midtown, NY

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM EST | 100% Onsite

Compensation: $75-$125/hour

Employment Type: Contract (Potential contract to hire)

Start Date: July 2026


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of plaintiff-side personal injury matters from inception through resolution.
  • Handle premises liability and motor vehicle accident cases.
  • Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, discovery demands, discovery responses, and settlement demand packages.
  • Conduct substantive motion practice and discovery-related motion practice.
  • Ensure all filings, deadlines, and case milestones are met in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and medical providers throughout the litigation process.
  • Supervise and direct support staff assigned to your cases, including Discovery Paralegals, Case Managers, Medical Records Staff
  • Strategically evaluate cases and assist with settlement negotiations and litigation planning.

 

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in New York.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of plaintiff personal injury experience required.
  • Experience handling premises liability and motor vehicle accident matters.
  • Mass tort experience preferred.
  • Ability to independently manage cases and drive matters forward.
  • Strong legal writing, litigation, and client management skills.

Qualifications:

• Active attorney license required, with the ability to practice law in the applicable jurisdiction.
• Demonstrated experience in civil litigation, particularly in premises liability and motor vehicle matters.
• Strong background in drafting motions, pleadings, discovery requests, responses, and related legal correspondence.
• Proven ability to manage depositions, court appearances, and pre-trial proceedings with minimal supervision.
• Solid briefing and analytical skills, with the ability to assess legal issues and present persuasive written arguments.
• Experience overseeing support staff and coordinating multiple case activities in a fast-paced legal environment.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage a caseload independently.

Compensation

$75.00-$125.00 Hourly
