Inventory Control / Receiving

We are looking for a dependable Inventory Control / Receiving specialist to join a manufacturing team in Middleburg Heights, Ohio. This Contract to permanent position plays an important role in keeping incoming materials accurate, organized, and available for warehouse and production needs. The ideal candidate is comfortable working on their feet throughout the day, handling detailed inventory tasks, and supporting a fast-paced onsite operation.

Responsibilities:

• Receive incoming shipments, verify quantities and product details against purchase orders, and confirm materials meet quality expectations before acceptance.

• Examine delivered items for damage, shortages, or discrepancies and record findings through appropriate inspection and receiving documentation.

• Enter receipts, inventory adjustments, and related transaction data into the inventory system with a high degree of accuracy.

• Organize, stock, and maintain materials across receiving and warehouse areas to support efficient storage and retrieval.

• Pull and prepare inventory for production requests and subcontracting needs while helping ensure timely material flow.

• Perform cycle counts and inventory checks to maintain accurate on-hand balances and identify variances.

• Process material movements involving rework, finished goods, and other warehouse transactions as required.

• Operate warehouse equipment such as a pallet jack to move materials safely and assist with general warehouse and logistics activities.

• Maintain a clean, orderly, and safety-focused work area while cross-training in multiple warehouse functions as needed.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in receiving, inventory control, warehouse operations, or a related manufacturing environment.
• Ability to count accurately, apply basic math skills, and complete data entry tasks with strong attention to detail.
• Comfortable standing and moving throughout the shift in an onsite role.
• Ability to use general computer systems for transaction entry, inventory updates, and recordkeeping.
• Experience working with purchase orders, receiving documents, and inventory tracking processes.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds as needed once hired on permanently.
• Familiarity with pallet jack operation and safe material handling practices.

Compensation

$16.15-$17.00 Hourly
