Desktop Support Technician
Responsibilities:
• Provide day-to-day technical support for desktop operating systems, business applications, and end-user computing tools across the site.
• Set up, image, configure, and deploy desktop and laptop computers for new and existing employees.
• Respond to help desk requests by diagnosing issues, resolving user problems, and escalating more complex incidents when needed.
• Assist with video conferencing technology by preparing equipment, troubleshooting connectivity issues, and supporting meetings as required.
• Repair and maintain end-user hardware such as PCs, laptops, scales, thermal printers, and handheld scanning devices.
• Track hardware assets and software licensing information to ensure records remain current and accurate.
• Deliver onboarding instruction for employees receiving network access for the first time and provide follow-up training to support continued system use.
• Maintain and troubleshoot the production labeling environment, including issue resolution, system updates, and preventative support activities.
Qualifications:
• Associate degree in a technical field or comparable hands-on experience in desktop support or a related IT role.• At least 2 years of hands-on experience supporting computer hardware, user workstations, and help desk activities.
• Working knowledge of Windows 7 and Windows 10 environments and Microsoft Office 2016 applications.
• Ability to troubleshoot desktop, laptop, Wi-Fi, and general network connectivity issues effectively.
• Experience supporting hardware peripherals and end-user devices in a business or production setting.
• Familiarity with Active Directory and general PC support processes.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to assist users clearly and effectively.
• A+ certification or exposure to C# is helpful but not required.
Compensation
