Learning Systems Administrator
We are looking for a Learning Systems Administrator to support training operations, system oversight, and reporting accuracy for a Long-term Contract position based in Stamford, Connecticut. This role focuses on maintaining reliable learner data, strengthening governance controls, and ensuring employees receive timely access to required training. The ideal candidate brings a detail-oriented approach to compliance reporting, production support, and issue resolution across learning administration processes.
Key Responsibilities
LMS Administration & System Stability (30%)
- Managed day-to-day LMS operations, ensuring system reliability and performance
- Configured and maintained system settings including user roles, security access, workflows, and learning objects
- Monitored system health and resolved performance or usability issues proactively
- Managed system updates, releases, and regression testing to maintain business continuity
- Maintained documentation of configurations, processes, and technical standards
System Development & Optimization (30%)
- Designed and implemented scalable LMS solutions aligned with enterprise learning strategy
- Led system enhancements to improve user experience and administrative efficiency
- Evaluated new features and functionality and recommended adoption where appropriate
- Partnered with HR, IT, and reporting teams to optimize integrations and data flows
Governance & Process Management (20%)
- Established and maintained LMS governance frameworks, including:
- Naming conventions
- Metadata standards
- Role-based access controls
- Change management processes
- Defined and documented operational procedures to ensure consistency and scalability
- Ensured compliance with data privacy, regulatory, and audit requirements
- Developed internal controls to maintain system integrity and reporting accuracy
Operational Support (20%)
- Served as escalation point for complex LMS issues
- Translated business needs into system-based solutions in partnership with learning stakeholders
- Supported compliance reporting, audits, and certification tracking
- Provided guidance and training on LMS functionality and best practices
Qualifications:
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Advanced degree or relevant certifications preferred
Required Experience
- 3–5+ years of experience administering an enterprise LMS (e.g., Cornerstone, Workday Learning, SuccessFactors, Saba, Docebo)
- Strong expertise in backend configuration, user security, metadata, and automation workflows
- Experience supporting LMS integrations with HRIS or other enterprise systems
- Proven ability to establish governance frameworks and scalable processes
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on data integrity and system performance
- Excellent documentation and cross-functional communication skills
Technical Skills
- Deep knowledge of LMS platforms and learning technologies
- Familiarity with learning experience platforms (e.g., Degreed, EdCast, LinkedIn Learning)
- Understanding of SCORM/xAPI standards and content authoring tools (Articulate, Captivate)
- Exposure to AI-driven learning solutions (recommendation engines, adaptive learning, chatbots)
- Knowledge of data governance, access controls, and audit requirements
- Experience with testing protocols and structured release management
Preferred Skills
- Experience integrating LMS with HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, PeopleSoft) via APIs or middleware
- Experience with automation tools or digital learning enablement initiatives
