Medical Receptionist
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate patient visits by arranging appointments and updating the daily schedule as needed
• Manage incoming phone calls, respond professionally to patient inquiries, and direct messages to the appropriate staff
• Welcome patients upon arrival, complete the registration process, and assist with front desk flow throughout the day
• Handle checkout activities, including confirming follow-up visits and ensuring next steps are clearly communicated
• Enter and maintain patient demographic details in the electronic medical records system with close attention to accuracy
• Support general medical front office operations to help keep the practice organized and efficient
Qualifications:
• Previous experience in a medical front desk, receptionist, or similar patient-facing administrative role• Working knowledge of patient scheduling and check-in procedures in a healthcare setting
• Ability to communicate professionally and courteously with patients, providers, and staff
• Comfort handling a high volume of inbound calls while maintaining accuracy and professionalism
• Familiarity with basic medical terminology
• Experience with eClinicalWorks is preferred, but not required
• Strong interpersonal skills and a welcoming, service-oriented approach
Compensation
