Compensation: $165 to $185 Yearly

We are looking for an experienced Attorney/Lawyer to join a detail-oriented services firm in Las Vegas, Nevada. This position focuses on defending civil litigation matters, with an emphasis on building effective case strategies, managing active files, and delivering strong written advocacy. The ideal candidate brings sound judgment, clear communication, and the ability to independently move cases forward while collaborating with clients, insurers, and internal support staff.

Responsibilities:
• Develop defense approaches for civil litigation matters by evaluating facts, identifying legal issues, and shaping case direction.
• Draft persuasive motions, pleadings, and discovery materials that support litigation objectives and procedural compliance.
• Oversee the daily progress of assigned files independently, ensuring deadlines, filings, and case activity are handled efficiently.
• Represent clients in court for conferences, motion hearings, and other litigation-related appearances.
• Take and defend depositions while preparing witnesses and organizing supporting materials for testimony.
• Review records, evidence, and case documents to assess exposure, support legal arguments, and refine defense strategy.
• Provide direction to paralegals and coordinate delegated tasks to maintain organized and timely case management.
• Prepare written updates and analytical reports for clients and insurance carriers regarding case status, liability considerations, and recommended next steps.
• Support trial readiness through witness preparation, client meetings, examination planning, and overall litigation strategy development.

Qualifications:

• Active license to practice law in the applicable jurisdiction.
• At least 5 years of experience handling civil litigation defense matters.
• Background in construction-related disputes and personal injury defense is preferred.
• Strong legal writing ability, including experience preparing motions, briefs, and discovery documents.
• Demonstrated ability to manage case files independently and prioritize multiple matters effectively.
• Excellent verbal communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience conducting depositions and appearing in court on contested matters.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a proactive attitude and interest in continued growth and increased responsibility.

Compensation

$165,000.00-$185,000.00 Yearly
