Job Title: Medical Biller

Job Summary:

The Medical Biller is responsible for preparing, submitting, and following up on medical claims to insurance companies, government payers, and patients to ensure accurate and timely reimbursement. Based on general knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review patient records and billing information for accuracy and completeness. Based on general knowledge.
• Prepare and submit medical claims to insurance carriers and other payers. Based on general knowledge.
• Verify coding, charges, and supporting documentation before claim submission. Based on general knowledge.
• Follow up on unpaid, denied, or rejected claims and resolve billing issues. Based on general knowledge.
• Post payments, adjustments, and insurance remittances accurately. Based on general knowledge.
• Communicate with insurance companies, patients, and internal staff regarding billing questions and account status. Based on general knowledge.
• Maintain patient billing records and ensure compliance with privacy and billing regulations. Based on general knowledge.
• Assist with account reconciliation, collections, and reporting as needed. Based on general knowledge.

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certification in medical billing or coding preferred. Based on general knowledge.
• Previous experience in medical billing, claims processing, or revenue cycle support preferred. Based on general knowledge.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance claims, CPT/ICD coding, and billing procedures preferred. Based on general knowledge.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills. Based on general knowledge.
• Proficiency in electronic health records, billing systems, and Microsoft Office. Based on general knowledge.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Based on general knowledge.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with denial management, claims follow-up, and payment posting. Based on general knowledge.
• Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance billing. Based on general knowledge.
• Ability to manage multiple accounts and meet productivity deadlines. Based on general knowledge.
