Accounting Manager

An established life sciences company is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee daily accounting operations while mentoring a high-performing team. This role offers the opportunity to improve processes, strengthen internal controls, and partner with executive leadership on strategic financial initiatives.

Responsibilities

Accounting Leadership

• Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process
• Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies
• Coordinate annual audits and support external auditors

Financial Operations

• Manage the general ledger and financial reporting process
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting
• Develop and improve accounting procedures and internal controls
• Partner with department leaders on financial analysis and business planning
• Support ERP implementations and process improvement initiatives

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities
• CPA designation preferred
• Experience with NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics is highly desirable
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong leadership, communication, and analytical abilities
